I explored Valletta, wandered Mdina’s quiet alleys, crossed to Gozo by speedboat, stood inside prehistoric temples, tasted rural Malta one delicious bite at a time, and ended my week with a gala that felt straight out of a period film. Malta surprised me. Malta delighted me. And Malta is absolutely a destination I’ll now be recommending to luxury travelers who want something extraordinary.
