Outstanding Job!!
My husband and I had the most AMAZING European vacation last fall, traveling to 18 cities in 7 countries in 36 days! It was our first time to Europe, so we relied on Cathy Rowland with Amore Travel Designs (discovered her on Google with great reviews) to plan our trip around the places and sites that we wanted to visit most. Cathy had the transportation from place to place, hotels, and excursions planned perfectly. She included just the right amount of relaxation and personal time in each destination and gave us travel trips and other recommendations along the way! We had so much fun and are now ready to start planning our next vacation for fall 2024 (although it will have to be a shorter one)!
Canadian Adventure
Cathy helped plan a very beautiful trip to Canada. She made all the arrangements from the hotels to car rental to plane tickets. Our main reason for going to Canada was to stay at the ice hotel . She arranged that and tours of Quebec City and Montreal. We did a few things on our own along the way. It was a great experience and a wonderful vacation.
Superb Job!!
Cathy did a superb job in arranging our dream vacation in France. We spent 15 glorious days starting in Paris, then exploring the wine country, side trips to Chartres and Beaune, and ending in Nice. The itinerary included some fantastic private tours, but also included non-structured free time that allowed us to relax and explore some places on our own. The accommodations were first-rate and the private cars to and from the airport greatly reduced the stress of travel. Considering all the things we did and all the lovely memories we made, the cost was quite reasonable.
The hotels that Cathy selected were perfect for us. In Paris, the Select Hotel Rive Gauche was a delightful little boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter right in the middle of the Sorbonne. Our room overlooked the square where university students gathered, and we could open our window and hear music in the evening. Although breakfast was included, there were charming places right outside the door for a quick snack or full meal. The hotel was just a short walk to the lovely Jardin du Luxembourg with its fragrant chestnut trees, boat pond of movie fame, and even a small version of the Statue of Liberty. The hotel was also a short walk to the Cluny Metro station, and a longer walk to the St. Germain neighborhood, the Seine, and Notre Dame. Hotels in Dijon and Lyon were lovely “Belle Epoch” buildings right in the center of town. And the hotel in Nice was right on the Promenade des Anglais with a balcony that faced the Mediterranean. Once again, all within walking distance of great restaurants, charming market places, and other points of interest. Great accommodations in perfect locations.
The private guided tours exceeded our expectations. The tour guides were fantastic people, extensively knowledgeable, and extremely cordial. And their English language proficiency was impeccable. The guide for Versailles drove us to the gardens early in the morning before the crowds arrived, and he tailored the tour of the palace to our particular interests in terms of history. He also gave us some good advice about places to see as we explored parts of Paris on our own. The chef for our cooking class took us to a famous marketplace in the Latin Quarter, told us about the history of cheese, and then gave us a hands-on experience in preparing a great French meal, which we joyfully ate afterwards. We sipped champagne at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and then enjoyed a very romantic evening dinner cruise on the Seine with a table facing the window as we floated by Paris at night. And when we took the wine tours in Burgundy and the Rhone valley we learned many things we didn’t know (and sampled some fantastic “Grand Cru” wines).
Working with Amore was hassle-free and truly a pleasure. Communication both before and during our trip was superb, with prompt responses and clear answers. The Amore “app” was most helpful, and we received timely reminders by iPhone throughout our sojourn. There was only one minor “hiccup” at one of the hotels, but the local rep (Susana) resolved the issue promptly.
Most importantly, Cathy listened to us carefully when we first met with her to discuss what we were looking for. We had met with other travel advisors earlier in our quest, but Cathy was the one we felt most comfortable with because of her extensive knowledge and attention to our desires. She skillfully delivered exactly what we wanted in our dream vacation. It was truly a pleasure to work with Cathy and the Amore associates.
Hawaii 2023
The guided tour of Pearl Harbor, the USS Midway, and the USS Arizona was excellent. The Norwegian Cruise around the Hawaiian Islands was everything I had hoped for and more. I was well taken care of upon arriving in Honolulu until I left. Many, many thanks to Cathy for making my dream come true.
California Adventure
Great experience with Cathy. She planned everything, all we had to do was show up. She took good care of us and helped to make it nice for older adults. We will definitely ask her to help us again.
France 2023
This was our first international vacation, and we honestly weren’t really sure where to start. We contacted a few travel agents, and we felt that Cathy had the useful experience and knowledge. We really appreciated how fast and responsive Cathy was throughout the entire planning process and during our trip. It made us feel much more secure knowing that we had someone we could contact with any issues or last minute changes!

Philippines 2023
Our experience with Amore Travel Designs, and specifically, Cathy Rowland, was AMAZING. She organized a trip for 12 family members from five different states to visit family in the Philippines on the same itinerary. She coordinated all of the flights, ground transportation, hotel stays, restaurant reservations, and sightseeing tours. She even helped organize a family reunion party in a very remote village. Her responses to questions or concerns were almost immediate. I sometimes wondered when she had time to sleep! My family and I are forever grateful. We would never have been able to do this without her. I even had other agencies turn us down because our trip seemed too complicated for them, but Cathy was up for it and did a wonderful job!

Working with Cathy is always amazing. She is my go to person for all my trips. She finds the trips I desire. Cathy makes all the arrangements including transportation to and from the airports, airlines, extra nights before and after the tours if needed. I am taken care of from the time I leave my home airport until I return. The only decision I have to make is what to eat. With that said, it’s time to contact her about a trip for next year.

Cathy is an amazing luxury travel designer! She planned my trip to Paris for the Paris Marathon this April and she thought of everything. I had a five star hotel near the start and finish line, which made it easy for me to maneuver around over 50k runners and my flight was business class which allowed for rest before and after the race. She also organized really great excursions so I could have some fun on my 10 day trip. And my hotel even had a nice large tub so I could take a bath!

I don’t know if you know, but I signed up for the marathon last May so to actually make it to Paris and pick up my packet alone made me so happy! We chose Cathy at Amore Travel Designs to help us with a complex tour of Italy in December 2022 that we weren’t confident to piece together ourselves. The highlight was a 3 day ski trip on a Ski Safari in the Dolomites, which included coordinating a ski guide, car transportation and lodges/Riffugios in the mountains. That in and of itself was daunting, but she helped us integrate a stay in Verona for the Christmas markets and a train to Venice for 3 additional days. Wonderful Experience!
My wife, Ashlyn, and I were planning a trip for our honeymoon to Maui and weren’t sure what to expect on the island.
We decided to go with a travel agent to plan out excursions that had visited Maui before. After doing research, Cathy was the perfect fit for helping us plan out our trip.
We had such an incredible time with our excursions. From driving the Road to Hana, whale watching in Lahaina, waking up at the crack of dawn to see the sunrise at Haleakalā, and experience an authentic luau – it was simply amazing.

Cathy went above and beyond for us on this trip: we originally booked it for March 2020, but because of Covid, we re-scheduled it 6 times! Yes, 6 times! And, of course, some of the tours could not be re-scheduled so she had to find new ones, and some even cancelled at the last minute…Over and over, Cathy re-booked and re-scheduled – with grace – as the consummate professional that she is. My wife and I had never been out of the country and at the young age of 61 I was very apprehensive about going. We contacted Cathy to discuss possibilities for our first trip and she was so helpful and courteous. She assured us she would make it seamless as possible and she did. We decided on a thirteen day trip from north to south Italy starting in Venice and ending up on the Amalfi Coast. It was Awesome!! Every driver and guide we had was on time and did an excellent job. The hotels were all so nice and located in great areas for sightseeing, shopping and the best views. The food in Italy was incredible and so was the gelato which we sampled everywhere. We had a trip of a lifetime and now look forward to planning our next adventure with Cathy. My husband and I just returned from an eleven-day photo safari to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania including a two-day stay in Arusha that was organized by Cathy Rowland with Amore Travel Designs, and the trip exceeded our expectations. From the first day I contacted her until just before we left Cathy kept us informed of any updates and requirements, such as visas, and responded promptly to any questions or requests we had. Our flights were well organized, and we had plenty of time between flights so we did not have to dash through the airport for connections. She coordinated with Hills of Africa and we had a suburb guide who was very knowledgeable not just in the animals we saw but in the best way to take photos of them, suggesting F-stops and shutter speeds to get the best results. Our accommodations in “tents” were exceptional, as was the food every day. We did stay in tents, but that is misleading, as technically they were tents but were equivalent to the best hotel rooms with a full bathroom and sitting room as well as a bedroom, deck, and plunge pool. The staff at our two camps, Lemala Nanyukie and Lemala Kurio Hills, were simply outstanding and may our stay very comfortable. I guarantee you that the next time we plan a vacation like this we will be contacting Cathy for assistance.

We Had A Great Time

We can honestly say CIE Tours lives up to the claim, all inclusive. It was fantastic. We had an excellent driver and guide. We enjoyed the entire trip. This is our third trip with CIE and this was great. We saw things we had not seen before and made contact with people who are researching our family in Kensaile. we didn’t have any problems at all. Best Trip Ever
Cathy helped me plan a 10 day trip (with my husband and three kids) to Ireland June 8-18, 2022. This was the first time we’d taken our kids on an international trip, and we were worried about whether or not they’d have fun and if we could have fun with them. Honestly? It was one of the best trips of my life, and I’ve traveled extensively for 25 years on 3 continents. Our kids are 6, 7 and 9, and Cathy helped us find activities that were perfect for all of us. We went to a farm, explored castles, took a boat ride on Ireland’s only fjord, flew to the Aran Islands for an amazing day trip, met Irish musicians, climbed cliffs and so much more. It was perfect. On our last night, we talked about where we’d go next, and our kids had all sorts of ideas. I’m beyond pleased and can recommend Cathy without a single reservation. She absolutely killed it, and we will definitely work with her to plan our next trip.

I was a bit apprehensive about working with a travel agent for budget reasons but I was nervous about planning a “once in a lifetime trip” on my own in foreign countries. Amore Travel Designs booked my travel for 8 days. Cathy Rowland found my family a great location that was safe during Covid. She was very fast to respond to email and checked on us during our entire stay. It was my first time booking a travel agent and she did an excellent job!!
So, I decided to plan something a little more off the beaten path of the Florida panhandle. Thing is, I decided 2 weeks from leaving!!! Ouch!!! Cathy not only took on the challenge, but listened to what I wanted my 3 Children (14, 11 and 7) to experience on the trip. I originally wanted to go to Yosemite but Cathy recommended not to due to the fires and instead researched a fun filled and exciting tour of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It was unbelievable! This hasn’t been easy for her as we have a big group and are traveling to 2 different places as well as the groups being located in 2 different places. I commend Cathy on her hard work she has put in planning our trip with us. Hopefully, she won’t have to reschedule again as we put this out a year (keep your fingers crossed). I will definitely use Cathy for all of my trip planning as she is professional, responsive and knows her traveling business. I give it 5 stars.

I found Cathy online and could not have been happier working with her! My husband and I wanted to travel out of the country and we’re too nervous to book anything ourselves. I searched for a travel agent via online reviews and Cathy was at the top of the list. Everything was smooth and seamless and I’m beyond thankful for her experience in her work. We will for sure be using Cathy in the future!
Cathy was great to work with. She did some proactive research based on the information I provided prior to us meeting. Once we met, she provided me with a range of options based on my budget and vacation timelines. Got me everything I requested for myself and my family. She made sure all was ok up until the time we were ready to depart for our vacation and provided me with a contact should we run into any issues and needed help. Cathy did an amazing job planning a 2 week trip to Italy, Croatia, Prague, and Budapest. I tasked Cathy to coordinate this trip with 3 cousins and 3 close friends. She did a fantastic job finding great places, fun excursions, and making suggestions on activities/restaurants. She was always available by phone/text/email. She is very polite, professional, prompt, and courteous. Whenever I asked questions Cathy would research to find the right answers. Although there were a few minor incidents with booking she was quick to fix it and always was accountable. I would definitely use her again and strongly recommend her to others.
Mrs. Rowland asked me a few questions about what type of vacation I wanted and she came up with the perfect vacation. She was professional and there for me. I can’t wait to go on my vacation. But what really impressed me was that she was the sixth travel agent I contacted but the first to respond.
