From golden fortresses to Michelin-starred nights, from crystal coves to 5,000-year-old temples, every day felt like a new chapter in a story I didn’t want to end. I explored Valletta, wandered Mdina’s quiet alleys, crossed to Gozo by speedboat, stood inside prehistoric temples, tasted rural Malta one delicious bite at a time, and ended my week with a gala that felt straight out of a period film. Malta surprised me. Malta delighted me. And Malta is absolutely a destination I’ll now be recommending to luxury travelers who want something extraordinary.
