People don’t think of London as romantic but…
While there is Paris and Florence and Venice, people don’t naturally think of romantic London. But there is so much about this city to love (and to fall in love doing) in London. I will list my top 3 recommendations for couples in love in London!
Sip Wine by Candlelight at Gordon’s Wine Bar
Perhaps one of the coziest places in London, assuming of course, you planned ahead and can actually get a seat inside! You have to arrive early to enjoy this romantic treat. Order up a bottle of wine to sip by the candlelight. When you get puckish, there are some lovely cheeses to be added as well! BE sure to dress the part of romance for this trip.
Take in a performance at the Royal Opera House
Did you say Pretty Woman? Ha! No. But… there are few things as romantic as getting all dolled up to wine and dine before a theatrical performance! The building alone is worth the beauty and history, but imagine it while sitting through an amazing opera or ballet performance. Sounds perfectly romantic to me.
How about Dinner at a Romantic London restaurant?
South Kensington – Feast your eyes on the oysters at Wright Bros followed of course by champagne in the basement bar!
London – Dans Le Noir what could be more romantic than dining in the dark? More than a restaurant. A true human and sensory experience! I haven’t been here, but its on my list for next trip to London!!
London – Aqua Shard – what could be more romantic than dining with an amazing view over London? This restaurant has panoramic views from all the tables. Or how about Mary Poppins afternoon tea? Sounds intriguing as well.
