What’s The Best Time To Visit?

Because Charleston is located in the southern part of the United States, it tends to be warm for most of the year. So if you want to avoid the extreme heat, the spring or fall are probably the best times to visit. Spring is particularly nice, as there are flowers blooming all over the city that gives it a lively feel!

Looking For A Luxury Stay?

There are plenty of luxurious locations to make your base of operations in Charleston. You have the French Quarter Inn, located at the heart of the city. Classic colonial rooms, continental breakfast spreads and the nearby market street all await you here. But the true highlight of luxury comes in the form of the Charleston Place, A Belmont Hotel. It’s located in the historical center of the city, has a spa, daycare service and more. There are tours offered of nearby plantations to explore the history of the region. And these are just two of the options of many hotels around the city.

Experience Southern Eats Like Never Before

Everyone knows about the South’s preference for fried chicken, and there are few other places that do it better than Leon’s Oyster shop. Both fried chicken and delicious seafood is available from here. Another good pick is the Butcher & Bee, which constantly looks to innovate the term “sandwich”. You can also check out Xiao Bao Biscuit or Félix, depending on what part of the world you want to eat.

Explore The History Of The Land

Charleston has been around since the seventeenth century, which means it has seen plenty. King Street is the central hub to go shopping at, as you can find global brands and local stores alike. Perhaps you want to see the Battery, or the fortifications put up during the American Civil War near the ocean. You can even tour the city at large on a relaxing carriage tour. All around you’ll see elements of Greek-inspired architecture mixed with other European feels.

Middleton Place is another nearby plantation that reinforces this feeling of Europe, while still maintaining that American independence. Charleston even got a nickname thanks to the amount of churches present: the Holy City. Although this nickname could also just refer to the magnificent nature of the city and it would still fit.

Boone Hall Plantation

Charleston is not only the highlight of South Carolina, but simply one of the highlights of the United States itself. It’s location along the coast, pleasant weather and historical development make it like no other city you can find. It is a city of color, with painted houses and the abundant flowers everywhere. You can start here or by emailing here. I look forward to assisting in your charming Charleston experience.
