FESTIVE TRAVEL

Festive Travel

I have been commenting on my weekly newsletter about festive travel. So I thought now might be a good time to post a blog about it as well. So what is festive travel? Festive travel is traveling during the holidsays, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. I am going to try to highlight a few “favorites” for festive travel in this blog post.

Festive Travel

New York

So ask me why I am putting New York first? Because I will be in New York over Thanksgiving this year (my festive travel plans). I haven’t visited New York before. I know, sacrilige for a travel advisor. We are looking forward to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade which I have watched since I was a little kid on TV. Have you seen it in person before? Ohhh, and let’s not forget Black Friday following this!

Caribbean

Maybe for your idea of a perfect Christmas vacation it might be on a nice white sandy beach. What if you visit St. Lucia for the festive Christmas holiday with your family? The luxurious Sugar Beach Viceroy has a full lineup of festive activities lined up for their clients during the holidays. From Virtuoso: Winner of the Travel + Leisure “World’s Best Award” and ranked among the Caribbean’s top resorts by Condé Nast Traveler, Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort has a legion of loyal fans. And rightly so for its lush rain-forest setting, shimmering white sands, and emerald gardens, not to mention its views of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons. Spread across approximately 100 acres, the resort exudes a timeless colonial charm, with four-poster beds, clawfoot baths, and butler service in its luxurious accommodations; villas feature private patios and plunge pools. Water sports are plentiful, and the spa is otherworldly.

London, United Kingdom

There is just something special about Europe all year, but especially around the holidays. From the lights, shopping to the themed pop up bars and ice skating rinks scattered about. The Lanesborough Hotel has an even more special theme, from the gorgeous decorations to having in house shopping from Harvey Nichols, or as special as having your room decorated for the holidays. From Virtuoso: Steps from Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park, in a residence honouring Regency-era luxury, The Lanesborough offers its guests complimentary, around-the-clock butlers to attend to every need. The hotel celebrates modern British cuisine in their reimagined flagship restaurant & home to Executive Chef, Shay Cooper, focusing on seasonal produce from around the country. The Library Bar offers a vibrant ambience and spectacular mixology. The Lanesborough Club & Spa is one of London’s most exclusive private fitness and health clubs, offering hotel guests access to internationally recognized experts in the fields of fitness, beauty, and wellness.
